What is AfroAsia Week?

AfroAsia Week will provide a celebration of culture, heritage and diversity. Focussed on engaging all to improve networking, interaction, intercultural respect and understanding whilst attempting to bridge gaps in race relations between the two cultures encouraging respect with a hope to diminish anti social adaptations of cultural practices.

  • Miss AfroAsia Cultural Pageant is a showcase modest pageant open to young women of African and Asian Descent aged 18-25 living in the UK to showcases heritage and culture.
  • Members of the Public and Service Providers nominate individuals and businesses of African or Asian Origin in the UK. Awards are based on a public vote by peers and the public.

  • Our Purpose

    To organise celebration and acknowledgement of the African and Asian members of the community with emphasis on showcasing culture and enterprise through business/trade exhibitions, fashion showcases, youth cultural pageant and community awards.

    Embracing and showcasing the similarities between Africa and Asia, bringing the community members closer together and offering  a unique and exciting insight into individuals of Asian and African origin who bring enterprise, trade, economic growth, and contribute to social cohesion whilst showing off the benefits and vibrancy diversity brings to the communities African and Asians live in.
